Selective Deoxygenation of Sludge Palm Oil into Diesel Range Fuel over Mn-Mo Supported on Activated Carbon Catalyst

Originating from deoxygenation (DO) technology, green diesel was innovated in order to act as a substitute for biodiesel, which contains unstable fatty acid alkyl ester owing the existence of oxygenated species. Green manufactured following process catalytic DO sludge palm oil (SPO). An engineered Mn(0.5%)-Mo(0.5%)/AC catalyst employed hydrogen-free atmosphere. The influence Manganese (Mn) species (0.1–1 wt.%) on reactivity and dissemination product were examined. formulation gave rise superior harvest approximately 89% liquid hydrocarbons; higher proportion fraction selectivity n-(C15+C17) obtained region 93%. Where basic active sites present catalyst, decarboxylation decarbonylation reaction mechanisms SPO enhanced. Evidence high degree stability during five continuous runs presented, which, mild conditions, consistent hydrocarbon >72% >94% n-(C15+C17).
